# Balance

> What your Crosspoint balance is, when money becomes available, and how to withdraw it.

Your balance is the money you've earned on Crosspoint that's waiting to be paid out to you.

## What's in your balance

Your balance is your sales, minus:

* Crosspoint's fees, and
* any refunds or disputes.

## It's tracked in US dollars, paid in your currency

Your balance is shown in US dollars so sales in different currencies add up in one place. If a customer pays in another currency, the order is converted to USD for your balance.

You're never paid out in US dollars. When we send a payout, we convert it to your local currency at the exchange rate on the day (naira to a Nigerian bank account, your local currency to mobile money), or send USDT or USDC to your stablecoin wallet.

## Available vs. on the way

Your balance has two parts:

| Part | What it means |
| - | - |
| Available | Money you can withdraw now. |
| On the way | Money from recent sales that isn't ready to withdraw yet. |

Money from a sale becomes available after a settlement delay. Once it's available, you can withdraw it.

## Withdraw your balance

You withdraw your balance with a [payout](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/payouts.md). A payout always takes your whole available balance and sends it to your [payout account](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/payout-accounts.md).

How much you can withdraw depends on your verification tier. See [Payout limits](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/payout-limits.md).

> [!NOTE]
>
> If a payout fails, the full amount goes back to your balance.
