# Fees

> One fee per payment, no plans, no monthly costs. You choose whether your customer or your store pays it.

Crosspoint is free to use. You only pay when you get paid.

## The fee

**6% + \$0.50** on every successful payment.

That's it. There's no monthly subscription, no plan to pick, no extra fee for international cards and no fee for payouts.

The fee is worked out on the price after any discount. In currencies other than US dollars, the fixed part is a set amount in that currency.

## Who pays it

You choose in **Settings → Fees**. By default, your customer pays it.

> **Subscriptions:** your store always pays the fee, on the first payment and on every renewal, whatever the setting. A subscriber pays the plan price you set.

## Refunds and disputes

* **Refunds:** the fee on a refunded payment isn't returned, because the card networks still charge for the original payment. See [Refunds](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/features/refunds.md).
* **Disputes:** when a customer disputes a payment with their bank, you can accept it or send your evidence from **Sales → Disputes**.

## Payouts

Crosspoint doesn't charge a fee to withdraw your balance to your bank account, mobile money wallet or stablecoin wallet. You see the exact amount before you confirm a payout. See [Payouts](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/payouts.md).
