# Payout accounts

> Add where you want to receive your money: a bank account in Nigeria, a mobile money wallet in every other African country, or a stablecoin wallet.

Your payout account is where we send your money. What you can add depends on where you are:

| Where you are | Payout account | You receive |
| - | - | - |
| Nigeria | Bank account | Naira |
| Every other African country | Mobile money wallet | Your local currency |
| Anywhere in Africa | Stablecoin wallet (on request) | USDT or USDC |

We never pay out in US dollars. Your balance is tracked in USD, and each payout is converted to your local currency at the exchange rate on the day we send it.

## Before you start

* **Verify your identity first.** The organization owner must be [verified](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/identity-verification.md) before a payout account can be added.
* **Bank and mobile money accounts must be in your own name.** We only pay out to accounts in your own verified legal name. Accounts in someone else's name, or a friend's or family member's wallet, won't work.
* **It must be in Africa.** The bank or mobile money wallet must be in an African country.

## Add a payout account

**1. Open payout settings**

Go to **Finance > Payouts** (or **Finance > Account**) in your dashboard.

**2. Choose your country**

The kinds of payout account you can add depend on your country.

**3. Choose how to get paid**

A bank account (Nigeria), mobile money (every other African country), or stablecoin.

**4. Enter your details and save**

Fill in the details for that account type (see below). Check everything carefully: a wrong number can make a payout fail.

### Bank account (Nigeria)

| Field | What to enter |
| - | - |
| Bank | Choose your bank from the list. You can search it. |
| Account number | Your 10 digit account number (NUBAN). |
| Account name | Filled in for you. Your bank tells us the name on the account. |

The account name comes from your bank, and you can't edit it. It must match your verified legal first and last name. If it doesn't, for example because the account is in someone else's name, you'll see the name your bank has and the account can't be added. Add an account in your own name instead.

### Mobile money (every other African country)

| Field | What to enter |
| - | - |
| Provider | Your mobile money provider |
| Phone number | The number linked to your wallet, with country code, for example `+254712345678` |
| Account name | The name on the wallet. It must match your legal name. |

The providers you see depend on your country. They include:

* M-Pesa
* MTN MoMo
* Airtel Money
* Orange Money
* Wave
* Moov Money
* EcoCash
* Telebirr
* Mixx by Yas (Tigo Pesa)
* T-Money
* Telecel Cash (Vodafone)
* AT Money (AirtelTigo)
* Vodafone Cash

If yours isn't listed, choose **Other**.

### Stablecoin (anywhere in Africa)

Stablecoin payouts are available on request. Choose **Stablecoin** when you add your payout account and click **Request access**. You can tell us a bit about your wallet. Our team looks at each request, and we email the organization owner when it's approved. If we can't turn it on, the email says why, and you can ask again.

Once it's approved:

| Field | What to enter |
| - | - |
| Coin and network | USDT on Tron, USDT on Solana, USDC on Base or USDC on Solana |
| Wallet address | Your wallet address on that network. Copy it from your wallet or exchange. |

> [!WARNING]
>
> Check the network. Coins sent to an address on the wrong network can't be recovered. We check that the address looks right for the network you chose, but only you can make sure it's your wallet.

We check every wallet address against sanctions lists, and we can't pay out to a sanctioned wallet.

## Changing your payout account

To switch to a different account or wallet, go back to **Finance > Payouts** (or **Finance > Account**) and update your payout account. The same rules apply.

> [!TIP]
>
> Update your payout account before you request your next payout, not after.

## FAQ

> **Can I use my business bank account?**
>
> We only pay out to accounts in your own verified legal name. If you have questions about your setup, email [support@crosspoint.finance](mailto:support@crosspoint.finance).

> **My bank says the account is in a different name**
>
> In Nigeria, the account name comes straight from your bank. If it doesn't match your verified legal name, the account can't be added. Use an account in your own name, or contact support if your legal name has changed.

> **Can I get paid to a bank account outside Nigeria?**
>
> Not at the moment. Outside Nigeria, payouts go to mobile money in your local currency, or to a stablecoin wallet.

> **Will I get paid in US dollars?**
>
> No. You get your local currency (naira to a Nigerian bank account, your local currency to mobile money), or USDT or USDC to a stablecoin wallet.

> **Why can't I add a payout account?**
>
> The organization owner has to be verified first. Finish [identity verification](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/identity-verification.md), then try again.

> **My mobile money provider isn't listed**
>
> Choose **Other**, then enter your phone number with the country code.

> **Can I get paid into an account outside Africa?**
>
> No. Your bank account or mobile money wallet must be in an African country.

> **How long does a stablecoin request take?**
>
> Our team looks at each request by hand. You'll get an email as soon as it's done. Meanwhile you can add a bank or mobile money account and get paid there.

> **What happens if I enter the wrong account number?**
>
> The transfer will fail. We mark the payout as failed with the reason, and the full amount goes back to your balance. Fix your payout account and request a new payout.
