# Payouts

> Withdraw your balance in your local currency, to your bank account or mobile money wallet, or in stablecoin.

A payout moves the money in your Crosspoint balance to your [payout account](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/payout-accounts.md): your bank account in Nigeria or your mobile money wallet elsewhere, in your local currency, or a stablecoin wallet in USDT or USDC.

## Before your first payout

You need three things in place:

1. **Your identity is verified.** See [Identity verification](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/identity-verification.md).
2. **You've added a payout account.** See [Payout accounts](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/payout-accounts.md).
3. **Your account has been reviewed.** See [Account reviews](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/account-reviews.md).

## When money is ready to withdraw

Money from a sale doesn't become available straight away. It becomes available to withdraw after a settlement delay. Your balance is tracked in US dollars and converted when we pay you. See [Balance](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/balance.md).

## Request a payout

**1. Open Payouts**

Go to **Finance > Payouts** in your dashboard.

**2. Click Withdraw**

A payout always withdraws your whole available balance.

**3. Check the amount**

You see the amount before you confirm. Any fees are shown here too.

**4. Confirm**

Your payout is created with the status **Pending**.

> [!NOTE]
>
> You can request one payout every 24 hours, and a minimum payout amount applies.

## What happens next

Our team checks each pending payout, converts it to your local currency at the exchange rate on the day, and sends it to your bank account or mobile money wallet through a payment partner. Stablecoin payouts are sent to your wallet in USDT or USDC. We pay pending payouts as soon as we can after checking them. Once the money is sent, we mark the payout as **Succeeded**.

## Payout statuses

| Status | What it means |
| - | - |
| Pending | We've got your request and will send it as soon as we can. |
| Held for review | Your account is still under review. The payout waits until the review is done. |
| Succeeded | The money has been sent to your payout account. |
| Canceled | The transfer didn't go through (for example, a wrong account number). The full amount goes back to your balance, and you can request a new payout. |

### If a payout fails

A payout can fail if, for example, the account number is wrong. When that happens:

* the payout is marked as failed, with the reason,
* the full amount goes back to your balance, and
* it doesn't count toward your 30-day limit.

Fix the problem in your [payout account](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/payout-accounts.md), then request a new payout.

## Limits

How much you can withdraw depends on your verification tier. If your balance is over your per-payout limit, or a payout would take you over your 30-day limit, the payout is refused and you'll see why. See [Payout limits](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/payout-limits.md).

## FAQ

> **Can I withdraw only part of my balance?**
>
> No. A payout always withdraws your whole available balance.

> **How long does a payout take?**
>
> We pay pending payouts as soon as we can after checking them. If your account is still under review, your payout is held until the review is done.

> **Why was my payout refused?**
>
> Usually it's because of your limits: your balance is over your per-payout limit, or the payout would take you over your 30-day limit. Move up a [tier](https://staging-docs.crosspoint.finance/africa/payout-limits.md) to withdraw it. You can also only request one payout every 24 hours.

> **My payout failed. Did I lose the money?**
>
> No. The full amount goes back to your balance. Check the reason, fix your payout account if needed, and request a new payout.

> **Are there payout fees?**
>
> Any fees are shown before you confirm the payout.

> **What currency will I receive?**
>
> Your local currency: naira to a Nigerian bank account, or your local currency to mobile money. With a stablecoin wallet, USDT or USDC. We never pay out in US dollars. Your balance is shown in US dollars, and we convert it at the exchange rate on the day we send your payout.
